E-learning and Student’s satisfaction: Case study in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

Abstract

The term electronic learning system signifies the integration of digital tools and platforms into conventional classroom teaching to enhance interactivity and ease of understanding. However, the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic compelled the Indian education sector to transition abruptly to digital modes, often without sufficient groundwork. This study investigates how students perceived and responded to the e-learning models implemented across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the pandemic. A total of 680 school students were chosen randomly to form the sample group. The research revealed that a considerable number of students were satisfied with online learning, largely due to access to TVs, computers, and smartphones. Conversely, approximately 25% of the students reported dissatisfaction, citing challenges such as poor audio quality, lack of proper doubt resolution, and ineffective teaching techniques — issues largely attributed to inadequate devices and insufficient teacher training. :
